Tell us a bit about yourself

I have a love for travel, art, music and I’m a huge sea-lover since moving up to Newcastle, you’ll find me at Tynemouth with a coffee in hand most weekends!

Summarise your role at JUMP

My role as a graphic designer consists of problem-solving through the use of design and creative solutions. As a designer I deal with a mixture of briefs and no one day is the same. Whether it’s researching and coming up with ideas, to taking part in group discussions, branding or working on campaigns.

How did you get into graphic design?

I’ve always had a huge interest in the creative world and have been drawn to eye-catching design for as long as I can remember. Studying graphic design at college and university really cemented my passion and desire for a creative career in graphic design.

What do you hope to achieve at JUMP?

I hope to become as good as possible at my role, always developing my skills, evolving as a designer and trying new things that push me out of my comfort zone.

What do you like most about graphic design?

I love how experimental you can be with graphic design and how such simple designs can deliver such meaningful messages when done well!

Finally, what advice would you give to anyone starting out in graphic design?

Don’t be afraid when you first enter the industry, everyone starts somewhere. Never stop learning and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone as much as possible.
