Tell us a bit about yourself

Cake baker, sketchbook scribbler, knitwear hoarder, animal obsessive.

Summarise your role at JUMP

As a member of the design team, I am involved in creative problem solving, constructing brands/visual communication and producing web designs for a wide range of different clients.

How did you get into graphic design?

Growing up in a creative family, I was always encouraged to draw and paint. After studying Graphic Design at Leeds College of Art and Northumbria University, I found my niche and have never looked back. 

Describe a project you've worked on that you are particularly proud of. What did you do that went well?

In the short time I’ve been at JUMP, I've loved seeing projects through from start to finish, from creating the brands to designing websites. Having fun with designs by exploring colours, fonts and illustration styles has been hugely rewarding.

What do you hope to achieve at JUMP?

I hope to continue to learn by soaking up as much as I can from the creatives around me. I hope to grow and develop as a designer.

What do you like most about graphic and web design?

I like seeing the outcome of a design. Comparing the before and after once a job is finished allows me to see the improvement and be proud of a project. I also enjoy the variety of work that graphic design has to offer as it keeps the creative juices flowing.

Finally, what advice would you give to any junior designers starting out?

Ask questions, work hard and be nice to people.
