Tell us a bit about yourself

An American living in the UK who will 100% stop you on the street and ask to pet your dog. You can probably find me curled up with a BookTok book recommendation and a dirty chai latte when I am not working!

Summarise your role at JUMP

I am the Marketing Manager here at JUMP. My role is quite unique because I have two focuses. One is to market JUMP to potential clients who are looking for an ambitious brand development and web design takeover. The other is to support these clients with their marketing goals and to implement marketing strategies within their new and improved brand and website!

How did you get into marketing?

I’m the type of person who likes to try anything that seems interesting, so it was a bit of a journey for me. I started in branding as a brand ambassador, then went into Public Relations, then journalism, and finally got into marketing and feeling at peace within a marketing agency. I am a huge planner and marketing is a lot of strategizing and planning, while also appreciating creativity, it’s the perfect marriage of responsibilities for me.

Describe the project you've worked on that you're proudest of. What did you do that worked out particularly well?

I am already working on creating a comprehensive social media, email, and website content strategy with a variety of mini-campaigns showing off the JUMP team, our amazing designs, the hard work of the developers, and how much we love partnering with our clients.

I am really proud of being able to provide both JUMP and JUMP clients with marketing strategies that align with their business goals. I think this is something that is often overlooked within marketing, as there are a lot of different actions and deliverables, but having a strategy is the piece that brings it all together. 

What do you hope to achieve at JUMP?

I really hope to cement myself as a Marketing Manager within an agency environment, having worked in marketing for independent companies over the past few years. I find the agency environment to be diverse, creative, challenging and rewarding. I think JUMP will allow me to not only work with a diverse set of clients but also to understand more about how marketing benefits companies.

I also hope to expand the marketing team and marketing offer for JUMP, to be able to provide more clients with a full-service marketing approach from branding to website development and finally marketing. 

What do you like most about marketing?

I think this is the absolute best time to be in marketing. We, as a society, are at the height of our content consumption. Multiple platforms are used as marketing tools, and it has become a normal practice, as consumers and businesses, to consume this content regularly.

I love following trends, but also being creative and working with creating authentic content and strategies that help a business succeed with its business goals.

Finally, what advice would you give to anyone starting out in the marketing field?

You will never know everything about marketing, you learn as you go and are constantly accumulating knowledge. Start with general marketing and then work your way into a niche that interests you, it will allow you to put a lot more creativity into how you market!
