Born in Newcastle, Kaitlyn stayed in the city to study her Business and Marketing degree at Northumbria University. Whilst studying, she had the opportunity to work on a range of projects with businesses across the North East. She received a scholarship and was able to invest in attaining her Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.
Coming from a business-focused family, Kaitlyn knew she wanted to be part of a fast-paced environment where strategy and ideas come together. Her fascination with marketing began at school, where she realised she could combine her love of psychology and business with her social media obsession to build a career.
During her time at university, she worked for a local marketing agency part-time, while also taking on some freelance projects. Over the 2 years, she worked on projects for over 50 businesses, helping them develop their digital presence and business success through email campaigns, blog articles, social media content and in-person events.
After a few years of experience in marketing, her passion has only continued to grow. She enjoys the combination of strategy and creativity within marketing, and is never bored in her role, thanks to the ever-changing digital environment and the vast range of clients she works with at JUMP.
At JUMP, Kaitlyn aims to develop her skills and knowledge further by learning from the skilled team around her. She believes the most rewarding part of marketing is seeing her campaigns and ideas come to life in the real world, and she looks forward to spotting the impact of her work out and about.
Outside of work, Kaitlyn loves spending time with her family and dogs, whether that’s walking along the coast or exploring the Northumberland countryside. She enjoys heading off on city breaks too, especially when there’s a chance to try new foods. When it comes to sports, she’s a big Formula 1 fan and never misses the chance to cheer on Newcastle United.
