    Generating visibility for offshore support and transport services

    North Star is the largest UK-owned operator of offshore support vessels, providing crucial services such as emergency response and rescue, offshore wind support, and infrastructure support. They first approached JUMP in need of branded brochures and exhibition materials. With the positive results, outcomes and a partnership built over these projects, we then collaborated on further materials, campaign assets and a fully refreshed website that communicated their pioneering sustainable approach.

    Aligning digital presence to industry-leading goals

    North Star needed a digital presence that matched the scale of their operation and the authority they hold within the offshore sector. Their website needed to showcase the breadth of their services while highlighting their commitment to driving a more sustainable future.

    The challenge was to simplify complex service offerings, strengthen brand consistency and create a clearer story around who North Star is and where they're heading. Through refined messaging, impactful visuals and a more intuitive structure, the new site positions North Star as the innovative, forward-thinking organisation they’ve become.

    Recognised through clarity and credibility

    We delivered a full redesign across the website and supporting branded materials, creating a cohesive brand experience built on strategy, research and user insight. Every element was created with purpose, shaped around user journeys, clear messaging and strong design.

    The new platform simplifies how North Star’s services are understood while elevating the brand through considered user experience design, animation and content. The result is a clearer, more engaging digital presence that communicates their expertise with confidence and consistency. Bold statistics and a historic timeline were paired with simplistic iconography to distinctively highlight facts that asserted competency, expertise and capability. This approach reinforced credibility while making complex information more accessible and visually engaging.

    Campaigns showcasing offshore innovation

    In addition to a revitalised website, there were differing campaigns with defined ambitious goals. Campaigns aimed to achieve various objectives, from cadet recruitment, internal communication initiatives, to celebrating their 140th anniversary. All campaigns coherently reflected branding and positioning, yet each campaign was intentional with its own visual communication and purpose.

    A campaign dedicated to internal communications was created, aiming to unify the organisation’s various departments, from onshore to offshore. This solved any disconnect companywide, allowing all employees to stay informed, aligned and knowledgeable on how or where to voice their queries and opinions. To achieve this objective, we founded the One Crew campaign, which held its own unique identity whilst complementing North Star’s branding.

    To represent the internal communications, more easygoing visuals were used to engage employees with fun iconographic imagery. Bold fonts were used cohesive to North Star’s branding, and the letter ‘N’ was playfully slanted following North Star’s logo icon. This resulted in higher two-way feedback and collaboration across surveys, contact forms, and general internal channels.

    Underlining deep history and industry experience

    Differing from an internal campaign that featured more playful visuals, we were additionally tasked to help celebrate North Star’s 140th anniversary. To raise awareness of the organisation's deep history, visual communication needed to embody the significance and authority of the organisation and its milestone anniversary.

    The campaign paved the way to exemplify the long-standing expertise, impressive achievements, proven reliability and credibility. We established an identity for the milestone to give a memorable visual that epitomised that movement. A silhouette of a ship was incorporated into the negative space of the zero, symbolising the deep-rooted history within the offshore industry. This campaign not only celebrated North Star but highlighted them as the pioneering leader that they are, while being visually engaging and communicating strength in their distinct style.

    Building a stronger offshore brand

    The projects brought together an established visual direction built upon creative thinking and business objectives. From campaign materials and printed assets to a fully credible website, every stage follows the justified visual direction and strategy founded from the start. Research and close collaboration ensured that JUMP’s efforts were aligned with North Star’s goals and desires.
